Instead of the traditional storytelling experience with children's books, I wanted to take an alternative approach. The children's book I designed provides interactivity to the story's setting and plot. This tunnel-book design creates a more distinguished and engaging story-telling experience.
The first step was to conceptualize the environment and character based on the imagery in the story. Then, I began to experiment with different styles until I found one that was the most straight-forward and charming. Once the style and design were chosen, I made the layout of the page. Finally, I printed out the pages, cut them, and assembled the book.
